tl;dr I'M OBSESSED. Although I'm no expert, the quality of materials and construction feels high. This is machined lace embroidered with sequins. The interior French seams add some structure across the shoulders, and the finishes are exquisitely finished in black sateen. The buttons are delicate but not difficult to handle; I find the neck is large enough to fit over my head without fiddling with the buttons. The design is a tailored, glam, modern take on a mid 1930s evening-wear capelet; I can tell it's going to be a staple of my evening wardrobe.
