This whole set was gorgeous and I knew I had to have it! I am 5ft 9in, 94kg, 40B and usually wear a UK18-20 (depending on the shop). I'd never bought Kilo Brava lingerie before but going by the size guide, it made logical sense to order UK 18s for the bralette, suspender belt and knicker - all of which completely swamped me! I had to exchange them all for a smaller size as they were so unflattering on my body. I figured going down a size would do the trick. This was certainly the case for the bralette (not the other 2 items but more on that when I review those!)
The UK 16 had a reasonably tight band and a wider back band with of 3 rows of 4 hook and eye clasps. I can just about wear it on the tightest clasp comfortably, but a UK 14 would definitely be too small for me. One thing I cannot get over is how far apart the front straps are! Because of this, the bralette does look a tad odd on me as I've got quite broad shoulders and small breasts, subsequently it does make my chest look almost flat with a wide open space... I'd need a statement necklace to fill the gap! I also need to tighten the straps significantly to prevent them from sliding down, which does limit my arm movement a fair bit. I can clip the back straps together to prevent this but in a perfect world, a racerback with the intricate embroidery would have been ideal.
