I thought it would have a little bit of a smoothing/shaping effect, but it doesn't, the fabric is very stretchy, which does make it very comfortable and ideal for wearing for a long time.

I got this to wear as an everyday belt and it is brilliant, Really company, nice and soft and smooth as well and doesn't show through. Really happy with this belt, pretty sure I have worn it nearly everyday since I got it.
